MosChip adds Venkatesh, Kadambi

MosChip Semiconductor Technology, a design service and fabless semiconductor company, has added G. Venkatesh as a board member and Shiri Kadambi as president of MosChip USA. They have been part of well known and successful semiconductor companies in United States and each has over 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley, the company said.

MosChip is strengthened with the induction at the executive managerial level of two very senior and highly respected technocrats, the company said.

Venkatesh, who has been appointed to the board, is currently a managing member at Texan Ventures, an independent investment and consulting firm, and chairman of the board at Broadlogic. He has significant domain expertise in storage, communications and graphics. He has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and a bachelor’s degree from IIT Madras, India.

He has served on the boards of Ikanos Communication, Aarohi Communications, Infravio and Matisse Networks. He was vice president for switching products at Broadcom Corp. He was president and CEO of Maverick Networks, a company that was later acquired by Broadcom. He has been a resident entrepreneur at Mayfield Fund, a Sand Hill Road Venture Capital firm. He also spent 10 years at Adaptec, Inc. where he was a senior executive officer and guiding general manager.

Kadambi, who has been appointed president of Moschip USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Moschip Semiconductor Technology Ltd. India, will be responsible for North American operations. He is a serial entrepreneur with a wide range of experience in management, technology and M&A. He was a cofounder of Maverick Networks, a semiconductor company. He has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from SDSM&T and over 40 patents in networking and technology.

Shiri was the cofounder, president and CEO of SiNett Corp., a fabless semiconductor company. Recently, he started to look into the energy space with an emphasis on energy management and software. He has been involved in various aspects of engineering, design wins, applications, marketing, sales, operations and financing.
