Legend Advisory Corp. has appointed Shashi Mehrotra as president. Mehrotra will continue to serve as the chief investment officer for the company. In his expanded role, Mehrotra will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations and business development.

He brings 17 years of experience with the company, having served as executive vice president and CIO for the last 5 years. He oversees more than $1.77 billion in assets and is a pioneer in the application of artificial intelligence to the field of investment management.

“Mr. Mehrotra has played a critical role in developing the technologies and practices that have enabled us to offer our enduring asset management programs,” said Mark Spinello, CEO of Legend Advisory. “It is a natural progression for Shashi to now take on the role of President and signifies the high degree of confidence we have in him.”

Mehrotra received a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in 1994. He received a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Osmania, Hyderabad, India in 1989. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the South Florida Financial Analyst Society.
