TiE-Boston moves to new office in Cambridge
TiE-Boston is has relocated its office to 101 Main Street, Kendall Square in Cambridge, Mass. The new location brings the TiE-Boston organization to the heart of entrepreneurial activity in the Boston/Cambridge area, the group said.

"We are excited about this move. TiE's mission is to accelerate start up activity on the east coast. A challenging environment is the best time to create startups that form a rising tide for our economy. Our vision as we move to Cambridge is to leverage TiE's team of experienced entrepreneurs and industry leading advisors to expand and accelerate the community of start ups," said Prat Moghe, president of TiE-Boston.

TiE-Boston pointed to a recent article in The Boston Globe that discussed the various efforts to build out more space in Kendall Square for labs, office, retail and housing and suggested that the wide variety of growing companies from biotech, clean tech to software that have located their offices in Kendall Square has made the area a premier hub of startup activity.

"By moving closer to this activity, we are better able to serve our own members and be another resource for the next generation of entrepreneurs in the area," said Vanita Shastri, executive director of TiE Boston.

TiE-Boston offers a comprehensive set of resources for entrepreneurs depending on their life-cycle. TiE-Boston programs include mentoring, workshops, industry-specific special interest groups, and networking events. TiE Boston also hosts an annual conference called TiECON East, an entrepreneurship conference.

To celebrate the new office, TiE-Boston is hosting an open networking event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 29 at its Cambridge office. The event is open to entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals. It will offer an opportunity to learn more about the programs TiE-Boston offers to entrepreneurs.

TiE-Boston runs several programs to educate, mentor, network and inspire entrepreneurs in the community. TiE-Boston members have founded some of the best known businesses in their respective industries. TiE connects entrepreneurs with each other and other stakeholders in the entrepreneurial world including other serial entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists, vendors and service providers.
