FREMONT, Calif. — Vidus Ltd., an @Road Inc. company and provider of intelligent field service management services, has entered into a licensing agreement with TDC, a provider of communications solutions in Denmark and second-largest telecommunications provider on the Swiss market. Under the terms of the agreement, TDC received a grant license to use Vidus' taskforce7 to optimize service delivery of approximately 1,900 field engineers in Denmark. Krish Panu is chief executive officer of @Road.

FREMONT, Calif. — Ample Communications, a leading provider of communications silicon for wire line network systems, said its new device, Redhawk, is now sampling to customers. "Now that Ample is sampling Redhawk, customers are able to leverage Redhawk's multiprotocol congestion management in networks so no high priority packets are lost, even in a congested network," said Marek Tlalka, vice president of sales and marketing for Ample Communications.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Kumar Mallavalli's Brocade Communications Systems Inc. said that chief financial officer Tony Canova has resigned from his position. Richard Deranleau has assumed the role of interim chief financial officer while a search is conducted for Canova's permanent replacement. The company anticipates that Canova will remain an employee of the company while his duties are transitioned to Deranleau.

DETROIT — Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted final approval for the company's Abbreviated New Drug Application for Tramadol Hydrochloride with Acetaminophen Tablets. Caraco's Tramadol Hydrochloride with Acetaminophen Tablets is the generic equivalent of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc. brand product, Ultracet, which is indicated for the short-term management of acute pain. Dilip Shanghvi is chairman of Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories. Jitendra Doshi is the company's chief operating officer.

REDMOND, Wash. — Concur Technologies announced that its Cognos ReportNet is now available to Concur Expense Service customers as an on-demand service. "The key to truly managing, controlling and driving down the cost of corporate expenses is the ability to generate and share meaningful business intelligence with accounting, finance, travel management and executive leadership," said Rajeev Singh, president and chief operating officer of Concur Technologies. "With Cognos ReportNet, detailed reporting that once took days to produce can now be performed in a fraction of the time, giving our customers immediate visibility into every aspect of their expense data."

DALLAS — Sanjiv Sidhu's i2 Technologies Inc. announced today that Chuck Kramer has joined the company as vice president of retail strategy. Kramer is responsible for providing industry specific solution and market thought leadership to i2 customers and prospects. He will contribute to the overall industry solution strategy, growth strategy, solution vision and build-out of i2 solutions for retail, the company said.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Informatica Corp., a provider of data integration software, today announced that Scripps Networks, the lifestyle cable television subsidiary of The E. W. Scripps Company, has selected Informatica PowerCenter Advanced Edition and Informatica PowerExchange data-access software as the data integration component of the company's new business intelligence initiative that will provide further visibility into the performance of its program-affiliated Web sites. Sohaib Abbasi is president and chief executive officer of Informatica.

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Kanbay International Inc., an IT services firm focused on providing solutions to the financial services industry, said that Bill Weissman, executive vice president, chief financial officer, and secretary of Kanbay, has joined the national board of directors of AeA (formerly known as the American Electronics Association), the largest nonprofit trade association for the United States technology industry. Shrihari Gokhale and Aparna U. Katre are executive vice presidents of Kanbay.

MCLEAN, Va. — MicroStrategy Inc., a provider of business intelligence software, announced that The Pinnacle Corp. has entered into an manufacturing agreement with MicroStrategy to embed MicroStrategy technology into its Enterprise Performance Management business intelligence product. The product is a modular set of tools designed for the convenience store and fuel industries to enable them to better manage their business from a strategic, tactical, and operational perspective. Sanju K. Bansal is executive vice president and chief operations officer of MicroStrategy.

DAYTON, Ohio — MTC Technologies Inc. said the company has been awarded two task order contracts with a total value of $5.6 million. One, for continued support to the Special Operations Systems Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and Hurlburt Air Force Base, Florida, and another, for continued support to the F-15 Systems Group at Wright-Patterson AFB. Both contracts were awarded by the Aeronautical Systems Center. Rajesh K. Soin is founder and chairman of MTC Technologies.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — NetDevices Inc., a developer of services gateway products for enterprise branch networks, said that Close Motor Finance, an independent provider of finance packages and support insurance services to the motor trade, is using NetDevices' SG-8 Unified Services Gateway products to create an airtight disaster recovery environment for its business critical financial services databases. Seenu Banda is founder, president and chief executive officer of NetDevices.

RADFORD, Va. — New River Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced that its board of directors has approved a 2-for-1 split of the company's stock, to be effected in the form of a stock dividend. "We are pleased to announce this stock split. We believe this action will increase liquidity in our stock and improve investment opportunities for both retail and institutional investors," said Randal J. Kirk, chairman and chief executive officer of New River. Krish S. Krishnan is chief operating officer of New River Pharmaceuticals.
