Renewable Energy World is reporting that the U.S. Department of Energy is moving toward a $125 million partnership with India that is aiming to increase international biofuels production and support the development of solar technology and energy efficiency.

According to the online news site, as part of the partnership with India, researchers at the University of Florida will focus on developing biofuels made from non-food source plants. In addition, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory will develop solar technology and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will focus on energy efficiency.
