ARLINGTON, Mass. -- Leader Bank has been named one of the “100 Top Places to Work in Massachusetts” in the third annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. On the 2010 list, Leader Bank ranked 22nd in the small business category.
“I am proud not only to have been included in the Boston Globe’s ‘Top 100 Places to Work’ list this year, but also to have risen in the small business ranking from number 40 in 2009 to 22 in 2010,” said Sushil K. Tuli, president and chief executive officer of Leader Bank. “Our inclusion in the list reaffirms Leader Bank’s commitment to employee satisfaction. Over the course of the year, we have hired a number of new additions to our team and have expanded on what was already an enthusiastic and dedicated group of employees.”
Among other comments as cited by the survey, employees said that they want to stay with Leader Bank because of “opportunity and ethical business practices” and that they love their job at Leader Bank because “[they are able to] help people and have a great work environment to do it within.”
Produced by the same team that compiles the 22-year-old Globe 100 report of the best-performing companies in Massachusetts, the Top Places to Work list recognizes the most progressive companies in the state solely based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics, according to The Boston Globe. Private companies and nonprofits as well as publicly-held businesses were included in the analysis.
“Each of the companies included in the Top Places to Work 2010 deserve recognition for creating a positive workplace for their employees. Their accomplishment adds to the vitality of this state’s business environment,” said Chris Mayer, the publisher of The Boston Globe.
Leader Bank offers a full range of personal and business banking products including free personal and business checking accounts, deposit products with highly competitive rates, commercial and residential lending products, home equity lines of credit, and free online banking and bill payment services. It has four Massachusetts branches in Arlington, East Arlington, Cambridge and Belmont.
