Virtela wins Stevie Award

DENVER -- Virtela, a network services company, has won an American Business Award, known as a Stevie Award for Best New Product or Service. The award recognized Virtela’s cloud-based remote access service.

Virtela's cloud-based remote access service gives companies a simple, secure and cost-effective way to provide their remote workforces with anytime, anywhere access to increasingly centralized applications and resources, according to the company.

“As enterprises continue to expand globally, the need is greater than ever before for more flexible, cost-effective solutions to support remote and mobile employees,” said Ron Haigh, Virtela’s vice president of cloud architecture and services. “Virtela is uniquely positioned to meet that need with on-demand services delivered from the network cloud. Our cloud-based remote access is just one example of setting a new precedent for performance, reliability and value, and we're honored to be recognized by the American Business Awards for that innovation.”

Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories, and more than 2,700 entries were submitted for consideration. More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the finalists and Stevie Award winners. Virtela was also a finalist in the Customer Service Department of the Year and Most Innovative Company categories.

Offering services in 190 countries, Denver-based Virtela integrates and manages service providers through partnerships with 500 carriers. The company is headquartered in Denver, Colo., with centers in Denver, Mumbai, India and Manila, Philippines.
Vab Goel is CEO of Virtela.
