ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Avineon Inc., a provider of IT, engineering, geospatial and program management services, has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing, to provide IT security program management and operations support, certification and accreditation, and compliance monitoring support for new and existing systems.
The printing bureau prints billions of Federal Reserve Notes for delivery to the Federal Reserve System each year. In addition to currency, it produces several other security documents such as portions of U.S. passports, materials for homeland security, military identification cards and Immigration and Naturalization Certificates.
The bureau relies on its computer-based systems to support its core business activities and processes such as security, procurement, financial management, product accountability, human resources management, engineering, research, product development and maintenance.
“Avineon’s long-standing relationship with the Department of the Treasury as a trusted service provider creates a partnership well suited for continued success,” said Karlu Rambhala, president and chief executive officer of Avineon. |
